I didn’t get to do as many sketches as I’d have liked, but here are a few from a few from a sunny day in Central Park.

Last night I arrived back in Falmouth after an BRILLIANT week in the Big City. Had really good feedback on my work from publishers and agents and they gave me good advice on how to push my work forward too. Raring to the paintbrushes out again to make some more work.
Whilst in the city I saw a few of the sites, ate some roof top lunches, saw some good friends, and even made it out to Philly for a day to see some family. TREATS.

So I may now have blisters on my fingers and repetitive strain injury, but at least I have a huge stack of business cards!
Also, did I mention that they have a ‘snow white pearlescent sheen’. Tacky or not, I’m yet to decide.
It’s also now just 3 DAYS until I go to NYC to meet with some Publishers and Art Directors, to show them my work. And I’m going to see some of my good friends from across the water whilst I’m out there too. What a treat!
My current little illustration project is to illustrate a new cover for Memoirs of a Geisha. I’m half way through the painting, which I’ll show you soon, but in the mean time here is a sketch of a little Geisha girl who is just crying out to be painted!
